A Day in Ministry

June 24, 2024

Written by Grace John

A typical day for the girls in our program is filled with engaging and educational tasks that help them develop important life skills and foster a sense of community.

The day normally begins with the girls participating in Bible studies.

These sessions provide spiritual guidance and moral support to the girls, helping them navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience and to relate to others.

The girls also take sewing lessons to learn essential stitching skills and create their own handcrafted pieces and products. Sewing helps improve hand-eye coordination, inspire creativity, and instill a sense of accomplishment.

The girls then take baking lessons, where they learn how to make cookies, cakes, and pastries. Baking not only teaches them basic culinary skills, but it enhances their creativity, fosters teamwork, and teaches them patience and attentional to detail.

Bible studies, baking, and sewing act as a training and empowerment program for the girls!
