Empowering Dreams
We are grateful that God has enabled us to grow by providing college scholarships. We have 7 college students, and our hope is that we will be able to support more girls in our ministry and empower them to finish secondary education. Below are testimonials from some of the college scholarship beneficiaries.
Mary, top right back row, currently studying Library Science and Information:
“School for me is a dream come true. It represents a chance to break barriers, especially coming from a tea village. This scholarship has enabled me to access education, it has given me motivation, encouragement, and a sense of responsibility to make the most of the opportunity. The skills and knowledge gained will be used to teach other Newman girls.”
Irene, right, currently studying Community Health Nursing: “Being in college is a great privilege. I come from a tea plantation village, and my mother’s earnings barely cover the cost of rent and food for the family. I owe a debt of gratitude to my sponsor and the Neema Girls Ministry for enabling me to pursue my dream. Visiting the Newman House and sharing my knowledge with other girls not only helps me to impart what I have learned, but it also boosts my courage and self-esteem.”
